Anyone have any experience of W Audio Amplifiers? Just wondered what the sound quality and reliabilty is like?

I used a pair of the W-Audio DA1300 amps (cheap end of the range) for a good few years and they delivered pretty good sound (bearing in mind I paired them with bottom end JBL kit) and were 95% reliable. I say 95% because one of them had a warning light flick on and stay on about a month after I bought them (bizarrely it still worked fine), but this was dealt with by the dealer under warranty without any argument and the repaired/replaced product gave me no issues afterwards.

I'm using a W Audio Da1800 Amp and have never had any issues. Keeps itself pretty cool and never failed.

I've used one for the last 5/6 years (maybe more) and always been good for me (touch wood). Mine are the old version though not like this.
Still looking at alternatives. As this is for an install I'm not looking to spend a great deal, but obviously still want the reliability.
With that in mind I saw this KAM amp which fits the bill too, and it's £75 cheaper than the W Audio one. http://www.djanddiscostuff.com/sound...mplifier-p1280
I've no experience of Kam Amps, so opening up the question to anyone that's had experience of them. Are they ok? Would I be better to spend the extra on W Audio...or is the Kam just as reliable? The install is in a venue that (when busy) get's VERY hot. So ideally I'm looking for an amp that will perform well in that type of enviroment.
If it's a warm environment and you're going to be working the amp at the power levels in the specs for the Kam (1kw a side), then you definitely need to be looking at Class D amps - they run far far cooler. The club I work at has a couple of Crown amps and while they're nice in the winter when it's a bit nippy in the booth, you fry in the summer as they dump about 500w of heat out of the exhaust vents.
W-Audio Horizon or Peavey IPR range all the way...
