Just found this one which looks like it could be a good alternative.

No splitters though, so the problem remains

    Steve,

I have a large stock of outdoor cabling fitted with black 16a ceeform connectors.

You are more than welcome to borrow what you need for a couple of beer tokens...

i have splitters and distro and its all BS7909 compliant.

Not sure if I'll need to, but thanks for the offer.

Yep, the 'standard' way of doing this would be to use IP44 (or IP67 if you're feeling exceptionally wealthy or there's a chance the connectors could end up in a puddle) 16A 'ceeform' connectors.

What plugs are already on your fixtures? If they're 13A then you've either got to weatherproof that 13A by using something like the weatherproof box you linked to or replace it with a different connector. For daisy chaining, I'd suggest either using a 16A T-Line (brand name from Lewden - other similar connectors are available [hint - the PCE ones are much easier to wire up and a fraction cheaper]) to replace the existing plugs combined with 16A extensions between them, or to put a single 16A plug on the end of the flex and use a combination of 16A splitters and 16A extensions. Depending on where you buy them this can work out cheaper than using the T-Lines but isn't as tidy a solution.

You will of course also need a 13A-16A adaptor cable to plug in to the weatherproof socket.
