Driving onto the roundabout at arundel , slowed down for a bus half way across the roundabout.
What i did not see was the stationary traffic the other side of the bus....the rest is history

Insurance have said the van is more than likely a write off , so I have taken out the bulkhead , radio and anything else.

Next gig is 9th August , that gives me time to get another van

    cheers

that roundabout Chichester side is slowly getting worse every time I go that way, glad your ok though metal can be replaced easily enough.

Is it officially a write off then?

    well yes and no.
It still drives OK , but needs bonnet , bumper/valance , slam panel , grill and the rads need pushing back into place , oh and a new passenger head lamp.
now all that from a popular auction site is around £300.
The insurance company will only offer about £100, after the excess has been taken off, hardly enough to replace the van.
But..and its a big but , would I trust a vehicle that has been in a crash.....jurys is still out on that.

    cheers

How reliable's it been in the past?
From what you're saying you need to fix it, it looks to be mainly bodywork as opposed to mechanical (the rads aren't rocket science).

I've always gone with the better the devil you know when this has happened to me.....if the van's been reliable and it's cheaper than getting a new one (with all the potential for the new one to break down), I'd repair it.

I have had the van for 4 years , never a fault , apart from a new cat and a couple of tyres.
