    is there any plans to bring the recent posts field of the website back- thought it was very useful

    Click "New posts" at the top.. thats even more useful as it doesn't just show the top 10 most recent.. it shows everything you haven't read yet.

    Unfortunately - No. All the additional stats on top of all the standard queries made everytime the pages updated were putting a huge strain on the database (too many queries at the same time).

    Whilst it was OK when membership was smaller, the number of members visiting and contributing to the forum on a regular basis has grown substantially in recent months and so these non-standard features have had to come off.

    As I said on another (very similar) thread - it was a choice of the additional features or a stable forum!

    BTW - in addition to the 'New Posts' button, there is also a button under 'Quick Links' entitled 'Today's Posts' which shows all the recent posts whether you've read them or not.

    Both of these buttons will give you the same information as the old 'last ten posts' box - plus a lot more info.

    It's only 1 extra click!!!!!!!!!!!
