    Is that really a comparable situation? It's unlikely you would find a one week replacement for your day job for example.

    I think it is. And I think most people would be hard pushed to fill a non-key date at 8 weeks notice. If you're a full-timer in the industry, you need to maximise your income and minimise your losses. Just saying!
