    Great list except......Why do people still ask for "Band of Gold" when the lyrics are so totally inappropriate for wedding. I always dissuade them by reciting the lyrics to them and ask if they really want that song at their wedding. They always say "oh no, maybe not"!

    If you think like that, you'd eliminate a lot of songs. Mr. Brightside is about the jealousy and paranoia of a guy who suspects that his significant other is cheating on him.

    Yes, but Band of Gold is a bit obvious with the first line being "now that you've gone, all that's left is a band of gold"

    A lot of people just assume "Band of gold" is simply about weddings. Yvonne Fair - It should have been me. That's one I had on a list years ago.
