The only issue I've had is where a couple of Natwest cards declined to pay: the client called their bank and (allegedly) it was becuase Natwest's security didn't recognise Worldpay.

This problem reoccurred once, then Natwest cards haen't been a problem since - i do however ask clients if they've got a Natwest card in anticipation.
Worldpay is one of the largest processors, and indeed was once owned by Natwest (Streamline) so that makes little sense.

    3 options:

    1. Purchase/charge, register the card PIN-pad and synch it up with your smartphone/tablet. You can then take face-to-face payments - just pass the pad to the customer for them to type pin. System issues SMS or email receipt. It's just one just like the Izettle or paypal devices. Does not print a paper receipt.

    2. Go online and issue a payment request using clients email address. I emails them a secure link, they enter card details themselves and the sytem emails you both acknowledgement/receipts. If the client doesn't settle the request within a few days it gets cancelled and you'll have to reissue a new request.

    3. Go online with the customer on the phone and set upa manual payment: take the card details, 3-digit security #, address, etc etc over the phone. System will process according to how fast your internet connection is. Again, system will issue you & client an acknowledgement.

A few ?days? later Worldpay puts the money into your nominated account (minus the ?2.7%?). You can void payments before this and the customers card is refunded/not charged (not sure which.)

The helpline are OK, but were no use explaining why the Natwest cards got declined (client found out.)

I like it because you only get stung once, whereaas Paypal will charge a higher rate, then charge again to put into your bank. (I believe.)
