    Default Monitor Speakers or similar

    Hi guys

I'm after a couple of passive speakers to use in my workshop as I have some amps and mixers to repair.

The main thing I am short of is space - so I am looking for something fairly compact, secondhand and to be honest... cheap (no more than £40-£50 really)

Doesn't have to be anything amazing, and I wouldn't expect so at that price, I just need these so I can listen to the amps for distortion. I can use dummy loads to drive amps to full power if needed

I've seen new Ekho speakers on ebay at this sort of price for a pair (Ekho Max 6", Ekho Max 8" and Ekho VX10) but I'm a bit concerned they really are going to be crap - unless anyone here has used these and can say they would suit my purpose?

    Cheers

Sorted thanks - my local disco shop had a number old ex rental speakers, which solved my problem at a low price
