Default Uptown Funk - follow up track

Ok guys, I can play lots and lots of songs that lead in perfectly to Uptown Funk, but i seem to be a bit perplexed as to what song will follow on after. Any ideas? Maybe Valerie by Amy Winehouse or some MJ? What do you think?

    cheers

Or Ladies Night by Kool and the gang, going into oops up. They'll never know you're playing another song, cos Uptown ripped both of those tracks off.

Looking at my history for the last few weeks:

    we are family
    Soul man
    Billie Jean
    Right Here
    Let's Dance - DB
    Blurred Lines
    Happy
    Get Lucky
Be faithful (bit of a random request I seem to remember)
    Wrapped up
    Wanna dance with somebody
    All about that bass
Thriller (that works well actually using the bass line)
    Blurred lines
    Lady Marmalade?
    Get Lucky
    Get Lucky

Its all christmas parties before that with a 70's theme.

although I have not done it much - it should follow with some funk. James Brown or Disco I think

I recently winged it & teased in the guitar intro of 'Place Your Hands' by Reef over a breakdown in Uptown Funk. The screams when they recognised the Reef track told me it'd be about right to go there next. Took some fairly radical speed correction though. Use sparingly, and not without key lock

NB I should add here that I'm not generally so reckless.. I'm normally more of a curve follower, i.e. follow up with something that links to it somehow, but the other guys who've replied so far have covered that.

Remember, what's worked in other situations may very well bomb when it's tried again. If only music programming were as simple as A + B + C = D

I use the CLX extended mix of uptown funk, then mix that into the extended floorfiller version of wrapped up from mastermix. If you cue the olly tune from where he starts then it mixes perfectly with uptown funk although you do have to ramp up olly's tempo but it does sound lovely.

Was Not Was - Walk the Dinosaur fits perfectly with no pitch correction if you're looking to change genre and go back the 80's!
