    First impressions:

It's a TOY. Don't buy one. What would be much, much better would be one of these: http://www.astounded.com/studiomaste...FeLHtAodKnABSw

First up, it was my understanding that the StudioMaster Fusion had been discontinued some time ago so I'd be concerned what the after-sales care might be should you buy it and something go wrong. But it was a fair little mixer in its time and was certainly an option for adding karaoke However, a lot of us KJs prefer to use the powered-mixers that have multiple inputs and are ideal for karaoke. StudioMaster, Soundcraft Spirit and the Dynacord range are perfect for karaoke as they all have onboard DSP effects and you just need to hook up a couple of passive speakers and a couple of mics.

However, adding karaoke hardware is easy but building a decent library of tracks is time consuming and the cost is often prohibitive. I've been collecting karaoke since it hit these shores from Japan. The money I've spent could've easily bought me a house! So I'd seriously consider how serious you want to get with karaoke before you make the decision to buy any kit at all. It can get very addictive but it's not a good investment unless you're going to do lots of karaoke gigs.

Thanks for advice ,very helpful and now realise I will have to take a much closer look before deciding to take plunge into offering karaoke.
Looking like cheap options can become expensive!!
