Default We've been observing your Earth...

Hi There (in my best Max Headroom-style voice)!

I suppose I could say I'm semi-retired these days from the mobile DJ world. My day job allows me to be selective but there was a time when it was the only work I had, which I was grateful for at the time.

Some of the day jobs I've had have given me a range of so-called 'dispute resolution' techniques. I sometimes wish I'd had them when I was doing gigs more often. I'll be honest, I got put off after a while by some of the flak you get when doing gigs.

I've principally joined to share anecdotes, experiences, tips for starting out and especially music suggestions. A big factor is also because one of the many things I enjoy is reading about other mobile DJs' experiences when working with Joe Public at their worst and those delightfully ungenial staff you encounter at venues!
I could tell anyone about some of the funny and horror stories I had but you actually have to have been a mobile DJ to appreciate them!

    Look forward to contributing.

P.S. Which 70s classic is my thread title from?

    Hello Stuart.
Good to have you here, there are one or two others who've been around the block a time or two, and have a tale or two to tell. Pull up a keyboard, and join in.

Excalibur. Older than the average DJ.

Thanks both and spot on for the track and original version.
