Oh no! Just when we'd calmed Steve down after last year.

Isn't that a bit like like fading out Come On Eileen before the fast bit though - which kinda defeats the point of the song

I’ve always found Bad Manners ‘Can Can’ works really well after (or instead) of ALS.

Last year the DM came up to me at 11.50pm and asked me if I'd mind delaying the midnight countdown for 10 minutes because they had 2 rooms running but only one piper

"Good thing I'm wearing my time control watch. I press this button <click> and time stands still for anybody within a 10 metre radius!"

Can I just point out something to a few on here who seem to be getting a little bit confused.... It's not the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers' doing ALS, it's the 'Red Hot Chilli PIPER'S!!!!!!

The one I use I think is Boney M. To be fair with the right mic work (and the fact people generally know what NYE is all about) they all sing along to the point I'd reduce the volume by 20% so you can hear them singing.

No as no one will know the song (so they won't know there will be a fast bit) and everyone will know 500 miles. It will just mix into the vocals of 500 miles and that will be that all the way to the end, with a nice gap and I will do come on Eileen after that on the 'donk d donk' bit.

I will make the mix and see, I think it will work wonders. Don't know until i get the tracks side by side and find a good point to mix it.
I also have an older crowd (average age 60) so going back to that rather than going into punk rock is ideal.

Don't use the DMC NYE tracks as they are produced to count down and call midnight on the last, twelfth Big Ben "bong" not the first.
