Just a quick heads-up, the price Nominet charges for UK domain names is going up on Tuesday 1st March. This is doing away with the "2+ years is cheaper than year to year" pricing, i.e. just now (all Nominet's prices to members, inc. VAT): -

1 year: £4.20
2 years: £6.00
3 years: £9.00
4 years: £12.00
5 years: £15.00
6 years: £18.00
7 years: £21.00
8 years: £24.00
9 years: £27.00
10 years: £30.00

(see http://registrars.nominet.org.uk/nam...s/fee-schedule)

But from Tuesday this changes (http://www.nominet.uk/wp-content/upl...e-Schedule.pdf) to a flat £4.50 per year, inc VAT. So for 2 years+, it's effectively a 50% increase.

I imagine registrars will be passing on this increase straight away, if they haven't already done so.

My advice is that if you plan on keeping your domain for the foreseeable future, extending for 10 years before Tuesday might we worth thinking about...you should get 10 years for the price of 7...just check the price your registrar is charging, first!
