Resident Antagonist
Domains & Email Services
I have a Webnation site and I'm looking to change my email and domain provider from iPage, as they are trying to charge me through the nose.
What service do you use and would recommend?

I've used 34sp.com for ages now & I find them pretty good. Uptime is great (I.e. I've never had a problem with anything being down unexpectedly) & they're pretty competitively priced. They have a much better reputation than GoDaddy etc too.

A gmail business account with your domain name are great. Once set up you can not tell they are from a gmail account and costs just over £2 a month

Oh heck....I must count as a Northerner.....best not order any more shandies in the pub
I've got two providers I use.
Three of my domains are hosted by Fasthosts (some love 'em, others hate 'em). Personally I've never had a problem in around 15 years of using them for various projects.
My other newest site is hosted by the lovely people over at ampDJ and so far it seems nice and reliable.

Despite the comment earlier in the thread, I migrated all of my web services, including email, to GoDaddy and I've found the service very reliable, professional and very, very helpful. I was previously with Heart Internet(via a third party) but moved after a dispute over a bill which was paid but the reseller said hadn't been paid and tried to add on extra charges. I don't even think the guy is still trading now (thankfully!).
But 10/10 for GoDaddy. I'm more than happy with the service I've received so far.

It all depends what you want / need.
i.e., is a 100Mb POP account OK, or do you need 27Gb of IMAP?
