I've run into the usual problem of nothing for sale locally. Found plenty of lighting but it's all Middlesex or beyond. Nothing up north.
Looks like I'm going with the cortex idea but it's going to take forever to strip my folders down to 1000 files each

See what Peter thinks, you might get away with larger folders---the problem you get is that whilst selecting a track on the side thats not playing you can cause the track playing to jump when you try to click on the newly selected track.

Im not sure what size of folder you can get away with.

I don't think it will refuse to work with 1001, but work flawlessly with 999. I don't think it's as hard and fast as that, but the one thing above all is not to have more than one folder deep. We've touched on this before. That's set in stone. The software will struggle to index the drive if you put folders within folders, and if the indexing is flawed, then problems will automatically arise.

Phone a friend? If you'd been quicker off the mark, you could have had Deltic's HDMIX as well, main and backup, CD capability, and no laptops.

Not one I'd considered to be honest. I have got a bid in on a hc 4500 as well so could end up with two controllers yet
