What is "The One" for 2016?
To me,last year there was no question that "Uptown Funk was "the one". This year, I just can't see one tune that stands out head and shoulders above the rest-can you?

Uptown Funk I think came out in December 14...so right from the start of 2015 it was clearly "the one"...
Even now...nearly at the end of April there isn't anything you can classify as "the one"...it's very rare this happens I would think.

Yes because I would put I Don't Feel Like Dancing' and I Gotta Feelin as "the one" from other years but nothing this year.................yet

I for one am glad there's not been a 'death by' track this year yet. As in DEATH BY UPTOWN FUNK.

Why not?
Because when just one song is on everybody's minds it becomes the one people ask for when It's playing and pretty much the only one anybody asks for full stop. So no. Long live variety.
