I do try to avoid being in shot.
I don't imagine the couple want me in their photo if they can help it.

If they get a snap with me it's nice to get a copy to use for promotional purposes though! Barely ever get sent photos after

I don稚 hide during the first dance, I just expect the photographer to take the shots they want which probably don稚 include me or my rig anyway, unless the lighting is giving them a good effect.

But if I notice anyone pointing a camera at me I値l automatically grab my headphones so it looks like I知 actually doing something DJ段sh.

No option for stand, smile and not worry if you end up in a shot or not?

I used to duck behind my liteconsole but a guest once asked why I did that and said it looked like I was messing around with some wires or checking my phone....

Wash your mouth out with soap, that man! Best part of the gig is hearing your dulcet tones ring out far and wide.

Not a million miles away from my policy.

And the prize for the most sensible post ( apart from mine, obviously ) goes to Jim. Hurrah.

Prize for a "sensible post" which is a remarkably similar mentality to your post?

I sense a slight bias there...

My thoughts exactly. I would rather leave the booth personally if required, but that could be a serious problem in the case of a technical failure.

Photographers take loads of shots in my experience so it doesn't matter if you get caught in one of them...

My policy during first dance is to ensure that everything is all set for the next track, so that any photos aren't of me starting at the laptop getting the next item ready.

So I watch the first dance, and smile, so that I will look the same as all of the guests stood around the dancefloor.

I've appeared in many photos, but feel I "fit" the photo, being behind my setup, but looking interested in the first dance, rather than being engrossed in a laptop screen.
