    Default MP3 Creation \editting software

I'm looking for some simple to use software which will allow me to edit/clip/mix MP3's

Occasionally I need to create audio tracks (non disco use), these can be a clipped MP3 fading out at the end etc, or multiple MP3s which will need fading into each other at various points.

    TIA

Often I can give answers from successful experiences. Here I have to give a suggestion I've had absolutely no success with. ( The fault's undoubtedly mine )

Audacity seems to be a popular choice amongst people.

    I use Audacity.
    It has lots of effects.
It can also lift quiet tracks.

    Cheers all.
The main thing to remember is to export the file once it has been changed.
    Saving just saves the project.

Audacity or Nero Trax (if you can find it). I can give you some other suggestions but if Audacity is too complicated then I'll just leave it there!
