    Default Unusual Gig.

Just took a booking from a local venue to test their newly installed sound limiter, in the presence of the council and a local neighbour who is responsible for the damn thing being installed in the first place.

    Song recommendations welcome.

Cum on feel the noise. Simples.

    Beautiful noise- Neil Diamond
Turn the music louder- Kda/Tinie Tempah.
Say it loud, I'm Scottish and I'm proud- James Brown. ( I may have used a bit of poetic licence there )
For crying out loud- Meat Loaf

Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name

    General Levy - Incredible

They tend to be my go-to sound check songs when I'm at a new venue and I feel like winding them up a bit.

Oh dear Benny, one of us has misunderstood. I took it to mean funny ones, not technically useful ones. Shaun, which is it?

Don't worry Peter - I got it (must be an age thing ).

The big question is.....will the venue ONLY contain that little handful of people, or will it be a full blown party to prove the point in a real-life situation? And will the clowncil be monitoring the sound levels from OUTSIDE at the same time?

The songs I suggested aren't useful at all. I sound check with them to troll the venue staff.

But Benny- if they're not tracks designed to run through the gamut of musical frequencies, and they're not whimsically titled tracks, I fear they are outside the remit of Shaun's question.

For what it's worth, especially if I've got a larger PA in use, I love to check with a bit of Skrillex, or AC/DC- Thunderstruck. Kasabian -Fire is nice as well.
