    Default My Dmx buddy

    Hi all
I recently purchased my Dmx buddy and all was well. I have got two genesis moving heads and two equinox light battens. Having written a few programs for the lights I recently went to check them and I get erratic behaviour from the lights and they don't follow the programs. I can't even write new programs. Grateful for any advise
    Thanks Kevin

Check the addressing on the fixtures? They might have been knocked out (which would explain why they're being erratic)

Just contacted Djkit who I bought the Dmx buddy from. They said they had a bad batch of them and would refund.

Could be that some fixtures aren't very 'floating' and the DMX Buddy, not having isolated DMX ports has been fried a bit. High end stuff from Martin etc has isolated DMX ports - and some costlier DMX adapters have isolation too which helps. You can try a cheap isolated DMX splitter (the powered kind) to help or do what I did.. go wireless
