I don't fancy waiting 2 years to change the gobos so I thought I'd open it.
No stickers or anything to prove that you've opened it up (10 screws though) and it's just standard slot n lock gobos inside

Well, I'm just in from my first night of upside down scanners.....by jove it worked a treat

I've got a couple of g-clamps on mine and hanging them one each over a pair of Kam Party Powerbars. I can't believe how much time that shaved off the setup/teardown and it worked beautifully.

Now...time to look for some new gobos to put into them

Finally got around to opening these up and looking at the Gobos.

For those that have these, they're the same dimensions as the Chauvet 300 barrel (23.8mm total size and 20mm image size).
Needless to say, projected image have just received an order for a pair of wedding related gobos to replace the awful pink with white dots around the edge ones.

If they work, I'll be investing in some snowflakes for Xmas as well

I've just ordered some new Gobo's for the 300 Scans, Hearts, Stars and what was called on projected image...pearl necklace.

Ordered from Goboland as they were £7.20 each rather than £14 (both Excluding VAT) so i could get al 3 (6)l for the price of 2 (4) at goboland, although £8.20!!! postage somehow, plus VAT took the 6 gobo's to £60 or so in total so cant complain too loudly.

Planning a photo shoot soon so show off the new white setup (Inlcuding the new Maui 28g2 White) so will post pics of the result then.

I remember that feeling - suddenly at checkout the price seems far more expensive than originally planned!

    But still great value.

For what i will get photo wise, Mid air effect from the "pearl Necklace" and with the prism'd Hearts and Stars certainly.
Should entice more than 1 booking so it will be worth it.

LOL I'd love to be able to produce the pearl necklace effect - but no chance of any haze down here!

I suggest you check out the Stairville MH x60 moving heads from Thomann, they appear to use the same basic, generic gobo/prism unit, and they sell aftermarket gobos.
