Walk in the park my son, walk in the park. Last time I played Agadoo was two days before Christmas, staff party.

Christmas Eve, young Twinspin and I did a wedding in a marquee, and it was effing cold!!! We were on with a fabulous band, Two Pianos, doing the full Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee, Buddy Holly and the like. All customers and clients happy, early finish, lovely lovely B&G, magic.

Really lovely lazy Christmas Day, and then the wheels started to go wobbly. That night I had what can only be described as a fever, Great start for a trip to Berlin, to see my daughter, son in law, and his family.

The good news: Berliners are doing exactly what they would be doing at this time of year, and being charming to all our party, even when I try to help out by speaking what little German I have. Lovely people one and all.

Bad news: I'm not in the rudest of rude health, my nose is running like a tap, and despite a liberal application of various flavours of alcohol, I'm not sleeping well. Perhaps I ought to increase my intake?

Don't worry Andy, as long as there's less than a foot of snow on the A66 , I'll be there.
Excalibur. Older than the average DJ.

    We'll see eh Peter!
    Looking forward to it mate.
I forgot to mention that I am going to be 'watched' tomorrow too. The reason being, the guy that owns the venue is looking for a regular DJ as he is not too impressed with the current ones (so he told me today when I popped in to confirm set up times). He mentioned a few things that made me cringe but he was also impressed with how I went about things and that our information sheets matched up exactly.
It could lead to some regular bookings and although I said on another thread that I was calming it down a bit, a venue that books me regularly would be cool as it means I could do my stuff during the week and do stuff at the weekends too.

Sounds like The Boathouse. Lovely place. Enjoy! Only done a couple there and quite a while ago. I think the Yarmouth guys get booked over that way.

Think I'd be pretty happy there, my last gig the bride had supplied 30 songs and straight after the first dance she was demanding high tempo RnB with the likes of z in Paris. Ahem
Some of guests asked me if it was going to be like this all night and then left...
