    Default 2.4Ghz Wireless DMX Antenna's

As predicted, the wireless antennas are suffering a bit on the road and I need to find a cheap source for replacements (ideally not from China). Apparently the connector is a Male SMA type, but typically most home Wifi routers switch the genders and the Antenna carries the female connection, making the right antenna harder to get hold of.

Looks a bit like this: http://www.l-com.com/wireless-antenn...-tnc-connector

Has anyone managed to source these yet?

I'm also after a 0.5m extension cable (and ideally a little antenna stand), after discovering that the output from the antenna plays merry hell with USB, DMX and audio cables if it's too close (i.e. anything less than about 4in). Has anyone come across anything like this on their travels (with the right genders?!)

    Julian

P.S. Plan B is to switch the tail from the Wireless DMX PCB to terminate in a Male connection... then making all the cables/antennas lots cheaper/easier to source!

I've found I don't always need them or if the housing is plastic they can be mounted internally. Most of my lights are within 2m of PC unit so no great range and remember the black wire before the antenna works as an antenna.

I used a router one on one of my senders, its more powerful, but rather large. As mentioned you can then mount the antennas inside. my main lighting system has this and its never too far away. I think most of the antennas you will buy will have originated in China. I would try and find a bulk load on Alibaba. Might start welling them myself if they are scarce
