    I tried a quick fix for the character set issue, which didn't work. It may take a little longer...

    Quote, Preview and Edit text editors should now work OK, even with problematic characters.

    For anyone interested (but mostly for my own reference later!), there's a slightly different PHP version on the new server and I had to do this: -

    After upgraded to PHP 5.4.3 the Textarea is empty if I want to edit posts or threads!
    Problem with edit option : empty window !
