That's what I sort of assumed. I'll then control everything from the mixer like I do with the Yammys. They sound as sweet as a nut - can't believe quite how much punch they've got at the lower end

I seem to recollect being involved, but in the interests of balance " other respected forum members are available ".

It was the hairy one I recommended you speak to.

Man everyone seems to be using these at the moment. RCF must be well happy with that result.
My RCF 310's were amazing over the years so they deserve it.

It was indeed - but he's been a bit busy being a TV star this week . (Really made up for you on that one by the way Steve).

BTW - I've just found out something really useful with these things. It would appear you can take the middle section out and just run on subs and the top section.....really handy for those venues which are an inch or so shorter than the full column

Erm, much as I hate to defend Toby, he is quoting Steven, who not only has Maui 28s, but also Evox 8s, so technically I feel he's correct for once.

Re lowering the columns, just check the sound after. On the 5s I reckoned it degraded it if they were too low.

It also cuts out a column of mids. However, there's a couple of particular venues round these 'ere parts (lined like marquees and with funny shaped ceilings on them) where you stand on a stage so the top column is still above the heads of the assembled ravers

Not on the 5s it doesn't. I haven't got any mids.

Correctamundo. Seems to me the main aim is to get the HF units as high as possible, much like we did with boxes on tripods.
