    Default Lighting ideas

Looking for ideas for a led light to go behind a 4ft Equinox DJ Booth and (yes) it's got a white lycra front!

    Suggestions/recommendations welcomed.

Sorry, couldn't resist it. I have the Equinox, and they're excellent. However, I'm not sure either would be a good choice, because the lateral spread of light is very narrow. As they're effectively 40" inches long, that might leave dark patches either end.
Can I suggest anything better? As I sit here, basically no. My favourite for this purpose, the Acme Mirrage, has been discontinued, and this s/h one is over twice the price of a batten.
How about a Jellydome type of effect? They're cheap, and have a lot of ( mayhap too much ) movement and coverage.

    Edit:
    This sort of thing.

It all adds up over time. £££

Good point on the dark patches.

2 of these should cover the whole frame nicely.

My understanding is that a COB light will produce a much better light - positioned towards the back of the stand (where you stand) facing forwards.

It should give a much more even spread of light than a bar.

I've only ever seen it tested on perspex panels, but it did look great.

Something like this is what you want: https://www.djsuperstore.com/product...r-cob-led.html

That pretty much looks like an adj mega bar.

It depends how fancy you want to get and how much £££s you want to spend but I've recently switched from using a mega bar to an ADJ hex bar 12 https://www.getinthemix.com/lighting...xoCqLEQAvD_BwE and you can do so much more with it even without DMX.
