    Question Quad phase hp repair?

    Hi All,

Anyone know if its possible to repair the quad phase hp (I've lost the blue output).

Any ideas if it's a diy fix before I dismantle and have a look?

    Merry Christmas.

Cheers, I've tried emailing them several times without answer (from their website).

Do you happen to have an email address?

    Cheers?

    So it is

Guess its not a simple led swap and needs a new board, (by looking at the price)

Hopefully they will get back in touch soon.

    Many thanks

Replacing a tricky led such as the ones in disco light fixtures certainly isn't impossible but it can sure be tricky. The circuit boards are usually solid aluminium core so need careful pre-heating before removing or replacing LEDs. Been there, done that.

If you get stuck try Decktronix.. They'll probably be able to swap the dud led for you. The bonus is that you might not have to send the entire fixture

Also I suspect the led board employed isn't actually made by ADJ & will be used in similar fixtures. I already found a european dj parts store (not a brand but a separate company) with one but they wanted silly money.

Try cameo lighting too.. Their moonflower hp likely uses the same board

Whats the score with the repair in the end?

I have the white on one of mine gone, some prat tried to pick up a 20 stone man and wondered why they came piling into my kit. Nothing damaged, but they hit the quad hard and now the whites gone.

As per my last comment the fans are noisy, it only has set colours & its not dimmable.

is the equinox shard that much better, thinking of a white pair.

    Well...………….

For repair itself still has not been done. Still in my shed with two colour not working. Since I purchased the Shard, I've not got around to buying a new LED board.

The shard I'm using under DMX(only use the one as a centre piece).

It is dimmable via DMX, but note that the colours are not mixed into a single colour beam, they are 4 separate beams, like the quad phase HP(but not defined like the HP).

One issue which I do have, is that when DMX'd, and S2L is enabled, only the movement is S2L, to colours are fixed. I got around this by creating a "chase" sequence via MyDMX3, which changes the colours every x seconds.

I do have different scenes setup for the Shard, i.e. Slow white for first dances.

I would prefer a version of the light which :-

    a) Did a proper RGBA mix into a single beam, rather than the 4 separate beams.
    b) S2L changed colours as well as movement.
    c) Would be a nice to have (if 'a' above existed), pattern gobos, i.e. star, open, heart, triangle etc
