    Default What Centrepiece

    Hi All,

My quad phase hp, is not a duo phase hp, only red/white now working.

I'm thinking of retiring this light, rather repairing, just not sure what with.

It needs to be able to perform by itself for smaller venues, or with 305 barrels / spin 25s.

Looking for something rgbw (nice and bright too), lots of control over dmx, i.e. full manual control for first dances, dimmable, etc, and also full S2L via dmx (movement & colour).

I've looked at the equinox shard, but let looks like only movement works via s2l, not colours (via dmx).

    I'm open to suggestions.

    TIA
    Edward.

Its going to sound like I'm beating an ood drum here, but the Jellydome would be my shout.

Ask them this question on their promo Youtube video. I always get an answer about their lights within a day of asking.

Does look like a good fixture!

    I recommend one of these...

Seriously - I think it's your best solution, and fulfils all of your requirements.

Yup, that's why I use(d) one, just a shame that now only two colour work. Struggling to find a replacement led board at the moment. And ADJ are not answering my emails

Would be an even better light if it was RGBW instead of the static 4.

Already told you get in touch with Decktronix. They fix all sorts.

Anyway the shard would be my shout. Rgbw, and dimmable too. My only gripe with the qphp is that it isn't dimmable

Forgot about Decktronix, I'll send them a message and see what they say.

I agree about the qphp, would be better if dimmable (and had rgba). Would be the perfect light then.

My response was to just buy a new one.

At £209, I can't see a repair being much less once postage is included if getting ADJ or a third party to do the repair.

Plus you then have some spares from your old one should you ever need it.

The quad phase HP is a good light, very bright but the DMX is very limited, its positively dull actually! I am also concerned about its quality too as per this post. Mine have always made a very loud noise too as I think the bearings have gone. They are seriously loud!!! Having said that they look amazing, are very light and as previously mentioned are very bright. Shame I can't follow suit at times in my ageing years

I am thinking about going jelly dome on the distance poles (as they are so much lighter) and a Martin Wizard rush in the middle, although I have a really nice laser, so am going to wireless DMX that first and see what happens. Got the mirror ball also in the middle for other weddings. I have just bought 2 gravity plates and poles and they are so much more professional.

My Quad Phase HP has 850 hours on it's use timer, and no LED issues or bearing problems.
