industry standard half couplers are rated at 750kg.... it wont be a problem and is an industry standard solution

I've already done this, and am amazed there isn't an 'off the shelf' solution to this.
If only a manufacturer would produce this as one item:
Take one of these: https://www.novopro.co.uk/novopro-to...t-adaptor.html
And then one of these: https://www.novopro.co.uk/novopro-sb...l-bracket.html
The 'short T-bar' from the speaker stand fits perfectly on to the Top Hat adaptor, and provide a beautiful short t-bar.

I thought it about time I updated this thread with a solution I found, partly with you guys' help here:
Which is one of these:

with one of these:

and a 50cm length of 32mm diameter (3mm wall) aluminium tube.

Do you leave the equipment attached to it at all times?
If so, how do you transport it?
-
I don't, because a) I don't have cases to carry them assembled & b) I vary the setup sometimes.
I don't (yet) mind rigging & de-rigging the lights. Time I could save per number of gigs is outweighed by the cost & extra weight of cases to transport a rigged bar.
