I've not yet had the pleasure of playing alongside sax yet but if I ever do I hope it's Ellie Sax or somebody of that calibre. Most the ones I've seen vids of, the crowd look absolutely bored out of their minds & the actual playing reminds me of JAZZ CLUB.

You lads need to work with Joolz Gianni. Consumate professional, even if he is a scruffy git.

It might just be me, but I find the saxophone on its own really naff. I have tried to like it but it just does not do it for me as wedding background entertainment on its own (i.e. no decent backing music playing tacks like baker street).
Saxobeat yes please. Smooth jazz type covers (with no backing) AHHH.
I also hate the uber cool sax and percussion people that accompany wedding DJ's. Just my opinion I guess?

What? No kenny g in the background music? HERETIC!
Joking aside I know what you mean Toby. I'm right there with you on this

Yep sorry, I try to show my enthusiasm when clients go on about their sax player for the ceremony & breakfast, but i don't think I pull it off. It's one particular note for some reason (G??), especially when its hushed just drives me up the wall. I like a sax at full pelt with a band, but just not on its own played quietly.
