Floor protection
I've hit on a weird situation where I've been booked to provide a dance floor and the venue is insisting that a protective layer is put over their antique wooden floor before the dance floor is laid.
I did have a supplier lined up to do the booking and they've now walked away because of the venues requirements and now I'm struggling to find anyone who can help. What I think I'm going to end up doing is buying some kind of carpet or underlay to protect the floor and taking the liability for any damage to the floor in order to persuade my original supplier to provide the floor as contracted.
Does anyone have any experience of something similar with a venue? Does anyone have any advice about what to use as a barrier/protective layer for the floor?
Help!
Julian
