    No, just because an artist is known for a certain genre it doesn't follow that every track they do is of that genre. See Shania Twain, Madness & indeed the Scorpions for prime examples.

    The idea of these threads is to list tracks that are useable examples of the genre.

    Personally, I think this thread should be entitled 'heavy rock' rather than 'heavy metal', otherwise we're getting into very small little boxes here.

    No because to proper old school headbangers heavy rock would be your Bon Jovi's, Status Quo's & Aerosmith's, as opposed to soft rock of say...Steely Dan or the Eagles etc....
