Default Where do you currently get your music from...

Having been away from the game for a little while I wondered if you can direct me to a few current dj music pools or places where I could get access to music. Are there any that you can recommend for modern chart music, oldies from over the years or dance music? Particularly looking for reasonably priced services that are adding new tracks on a regular basis

PS - I'm currently reading the info for the CD Pool above

As Benny Said, Promo Only for new releases.

Ilikemusic for Back catalogue stuff in WAV format.

Also i like the mashup.co.uk £200 for a years unlimited downloads can be a bargain if you use a lot of the stuff.

Same as Benny, Promo Only. CD Pool are excellent, as are Mastermix Pro Disc, and I know there are other reputable ones. We're spoilt for choice.

Just wanted to pick up on this post. I'm toing and froing a bit at the moment on the above suggested dj pools. Just needing a bit of persuading of which one to go for and also which subscription is best. I want chart content inc. different mixes. At the moment I'm edging towards Promo Only but need to know I can go back and download previous issues and there's no restrictions.

I've not long joined BPM Supreme as I've found they got a variety of other choices besides chart which help beef up my collection and also provide me with a few different mixes.

Cd Pool and mastermix look ok but I'm unsure what I'll get for my money and Promo just looks easier to use and more reasonable price.

Can you provide any info to possibly help me make up my mind.

Along with chart also looking for one where there are a few older 90s and 00s tunes and mixes can be found such as ones by Basshunter, rag n bone man, faithless, darude, urban cookie collective, bashunter, scooter, dj aligator and other similar types

Promoonly let you download the previous 3 months tracks when you first sign up. After that, nothing but new material.

For any gaps in my retro stuff I tend to use ILikeMusic. Cheaper than most online retailers & I've found everything I've ever had cause to go looking for.

I think if I'm not going to be DJing for the foreseeable future though, I might put my subscriptions on hold to reduce my running costs.

Thanks Nakatomi 3 months isn't that great. I would have liked a few more months or something close to the last year. Trying to make up on some of the music I've missed out on over the period I've been out of the game along with getting some of the latest stuff.

Will have a look at ilikemusic that could be an interest one.

I'm making the most of building up my collection during this period.

Yes. CD Pool appear to be offering a sort of two thirds option, aimed at the Mobile DJ who doesn't need loads of Club Mixes. Comes in pricewise between Promo Only and the full CD Pool offering. The download system for Promo Only is the most stupid, illogical, fragmented method I have ever seen. CD Pool, on the other hand, one click, and an entire album shuffles off obediently to be placed on your playout drive.
