Is there any way in Virtual DJ to replace a song (eg, a 192k MP3 with a 320k MP3) yet retain the song play history?
Yes, once a track goes missing (aka. you delete the MP3) a red cross will show and the file won't load/play (because it can't be found). If you right click on the missing track, there will be a option to 'relocate missing file' You can then find the new lossless or higher bitrate track in the file explorer, which VDJ will use. As far as I'm aware it should keep all previous information, such as the play count and tags.
