Default Can my disco kill corona virus?

It may have crossed your mind that rigging your UV lights up to flood your home may protect you.

Sadly our lights only emit in the UVA range (315-400nm).

To kill viruses you need UVC range (100-280nm)

Just thought I would save you the time researching it!

Dunno about killing virus cells, but this DJ lark appears to have had a very harmful effect on my brain cells.
Excalibur. Older than the average DJ.

Thanks for clearing that up I said something similar in response a FB post where someone said they were sanitising their phone by putting it on top of a UV par can. If the UV light was of the right power and wavelength to destroy living cells then it'd be dangerous to point at people!!

Admittedly that doesn't stop people with lasers....

I'm not allowed into Sainsburys before 9am on Thursday , so by definition, I'm middle aged.

A more relevant question might be "Can corona virus kill my disco?". To which the answer is possibly YES
