Similar scenario is I remember my second ever wedding fayre I had Michael Buble playing as background music, he was REALLY popular then.
A bride walked up and said to her fiance "oh no, I don't like Michael Buble" and walked on haha
From that day I NEVER play music at a wedding fayre and the same scenario may happen with a mixtape etc
I have to say, I'm with her on this one!
