Quiet Static Inverter for Beach Gig.
Hello all. A young friend is having a beach gig at a seaside resort. He asked to borrow my petrol generator, but it is noisy like a petrol lawn mower. I suggested a silent static inverter. He will be using his two D.J.controllers and a 50 Watt amplifier, no lights.
I have two options to help him out.
1. A 12 Volt D.C. static inverter and a 12 Volt leisure battery on a trolley.
2. A 24 Volt D.C. static inverter and two 12 Volt leisure batteries on a trolly. I'd have to buy another battery which ain't cheap.
The outputs will be 230 Volt 50Hz.
Has anyone any experience of using such an arrangement for powering sound equipment please?
Thanks,
Zog.
