I did a School Disco for a similar number a couple of months back. What's the word i'm looking for - MAYHEM!!
Tried to organise games - no chance, especially as the parents and teachers were too busy gassing to try and help. Gave up in the end and just played the music, with 'the best Girl' and 'Best Boy' dancer having prizes at the end.
The music taste was wide and varied from the Pop Party style to Queen, TV Theme tunes, Alice Cooper and Green Day (didn't play the last one though!).
If you only have an hour, i agree that there's not alot that you can do Games-wise. High School Musical - any of them go down well - especially for the girlies.
Freebies - Glo-sticks/bracelets or even something simple like balloons (as long as you don't have to clear up the mess!)
Good Luck! I think you'll need it!

You might want to wear your headphones all the time as well. I remember many years ago doing a christmas party for around the same age group. I couldn't hear the music for their shouting and screaming.

All I can say is you are a braver man than me! I don't do kids disco's, in fact due to a bad experience at girls 16th party, I now only do 21st birthdays and above.
will not do kids parties for children this age range full stop but will do over 10 yrs of age they then stop running about like lemmings and start dancing to what you play.

put on the Cha Cha Slide and speed it up as fast as you can. the kids love it. also it's funny watching adults trying to do it fast.
