Which of your fave songs have the strangest lyrics?
(in case you've not heard
Pi (and who hasn't?
) the chorus is basically a recital of the first 60 or so significant digits of pi
)
I love that track, my Dad is a big Kate Bush fan and it rubbed off on me, running up that hill and Don't Give Up with Peter Gabriel are two of my favs.
With regards to strangest lyrics, off the top of my head, The Vapours - Turning Japanese I always thought was a bit strange, though I do like it.

Classic songs with strange lyrics?
This has to be a strong contender:
"Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
Coz it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no"

So by heading to the coast, presumably to collect water with which to extinguish said fire, she was admitting that she'd been a naughty girl.
Just my opinion of course
Yeah I was thinking that

Being for the benefit of Mr Kite - The Beatles. The breakdown in the middle with (what sounds like) a lute being played is awesome.

Beatles songs by the ton.
I Am The Walrus - what were they on?
A Day In The Life - how many holes in Blackburn, enough to fill the Albert Hall!
Others, like Hotel California - Her mind is Tiffany twisted, she got the Mercedes Bends.
And how many different interpretations of Bohemian Rhapsody & American Pie have you heard?
