summer of 69 is always played at a cheese night here in cheltenham and always gets a good reaction.
Depends how you want to define cheese really. I just put down the tracks that i play at most of my gigs because they are songs that most people know and get up to dance too.
Ive just noticed i put beat it rather than bille jean!
Uh..."You have been fined 99 bicycle clips, go directly to jail, do not collect 200 pounds... who's that naughty boy there?"
Definitely.
Agreed. I'd define it as the tracks you're inclined to play at almost every gig, which tend to work with most age groups. If you like, you might call them "Anthems" rather than "Cheese".
Sometimes it's more what the punters define as cheese. I had a wedding reception a few weeks ago and she specified that she didn't want anything too cheesy but maybe 'Summer of 69' and 'The One And Only' would be ok. Clearly she defined these as cheese.
However, on the night whilt entertaining the children, she was at the bar boogying along with her friends to......
All the Black Lace songs
Now that IS cheese
