Looks like Denon are onboard and just waiting on gemini/cortex as usual but they'll be there, plus a surprise return from one the old school lighting manufacturers..........

As previously "We did contact JBL and they don't feel the Dj market is worthwhile enough to warrant a stand (thats what the rep at last years PLASA told me)"

Pretty much the same from Mackie when i spoke to them at Sounds Expo.

Plus the fact its up North, remember most of these manufacturers don't usually travel beyond Birmingham

dj show north sounds good i wish i could afford both but plasa wins because plasa is where the companys unvaile there new produts they save there new products especally for plasa even if they have a new product ready around the time of dj north they will keep it till plasa so really at dj north you will see the products that people saw at plasa last year then again i might see how my pennies are and go to both

apart from denon who launched the 4500 at the first dj show north, and pioneer who launched the dvd players at 2 etc etc. I know what you mean though plasa has some clout, but remember last years plasa, no denon, no prolight, no wharfedale, etc etc...all at dj show north, plus no wading thru tons of theatrical rubbish to find it.
