Jack Daniels is all about the name, it's overpriced! Have you tried Jim Beam, as used by Corabar Steve? Much nicer! Even Asda own label bourbon is as good as JD..

My faves are Tennents, Stella, and Whisky & Irn Bru (any whisky really, I'm a bit more picky if I'm drinking it straight). Can't stand cider or Guinness!

Is it?? Maybe it's only the takeaway stuff which is bad for you, but I know what goes in my stir fry's and curries, and it's generally quite healthy. Maybe they pump up the salt and fat to make it taste better for the 'chips with everything' British public?

    Heineken/Stella/Steinlager - are regular purchases

Guinness when I'm feeling well-healed or celebratory

And Old Speckled Hen when I'm in a pub where it's on tap

Vodka is about the only spirit I really drink

Quite partial to Baileys and a decent Artillery Port and, I'm sorry to say, Green Ginger wine.
