    hi all,

im fairly new to karaoke, but so far all is going well (touch wood).

on the topic of buying tracks - as i want to use Virtual DJ to play the karaoke tracks in future - i was just wondering if there was any legal sites you can download MP3+g tracks, rather than have to buy CD+g?
The immediate advantage to this would be being able to download, when required, and storage space.

Or if anyone could fill me in on the legalities of this?
    many thanks

thanks for that, i couldnt find any when googling for them!

Is there anywhere, where you can buy them in a smaller amount - like you can with the cdg discs? - ie 10 or 20 at a time? - so i can get the ones i want - ie 60s - singalongs - disco - various artists etc.

I was very interested in this although I already have thousands of CD+G tracks converted to MP3+G but my thinking is if these tracks need no conversion then no need for ProDub. However, these tracks are not for download. You have to send your computer to PCDJ and they'll put them on for you. They state that your computer "will only be away for three days".

I was breaking out in to a cold sweat when I had to leave my laptop with an engineer for 4 hours a few months ago!

well spotted, im too reliant on my pc as well !

having just googled some more, has anyone ever come across this site?

it was on the 'google-ads' bar

    http://www.karaoke.cc/default.aspx

i dont know where or what the ".cc" rather than ".co.uk" is from?

if its all above board, it could be great for the odd track or two? - i'll google some more, see if anyone has any opinions on this site?

What a cracking find! This site is run by Zoom who've been selling me discs for years. This is exactly what I've been looking for and could be the way round having to buy the ProDub licence for year 2 as the tracks are downloaded direct and there's no format shifting to be done.

Well done, Indie and well done Zoom for spotting the potential and acting on it!

I wonder if I point this MP3+G download service out to other manufacturers such as Sunfly, Mr Entertainer and Legends they'd offer the same service for their brands. That way I could buy all my karaoke tracks this way and need never have to buy another disc again. Just like I do with the disco stuff downloaded from 7Digital.

Think I'll be sending off emails and filling out 'suggestion' forms today!
