    Default Band Audition

On August 1st I have an audition with a band looking for a front man, spotted the advert on Gumtree http://glasgow.gumtree.com/glasgow/99/60156599.html and thought I'd fire an email at them along with the youtube link of the Weller cover I put on here.

Well they got back to me saying they were sufficiently impressed and would like me to pop along to Berkley 2 Studios in Glasgow http://www.berkeley2.co.uk/ and audition for them. I have to learn 4/5 songs from thier setlists, sing them and see how I go.

They made it clear they only want to do a few quality gigs a year but rehearse every Sunday (so won't hopefuly make an impact on my business, which comes first obviously), I'm quite into giving this a blast Now to choose 4/5 tracks from their setlist, some of which are beyond my capabilities and I did reiterate that to them, to which they said they're open to some changes.

Just a bit of chat lads, thought I'd let you know Any suggestions or choices on the 4/5 tracks would be a bonus.

I felt the same tbh but I suppose it would be difficult to love every tune on a setlist, Thin Lizzy I'm a big fan of, Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters do some great stuff

    Just what I was thinking.

There's only one person who know which ones you'll be happiest singing & which ones will best suit/show off your voice.

    Good luck!

The choices part of the post was just to make it somewhat retorical and for me to see what, if any at all, tracks you like from the set lists. Obviously I'll be choosing the ones that best suit my voice. Thanks for the well wishes though, I'll let you know how I get on for sure.

Did I read it right? They want a man with plenty of front? That's you to a T.

Hard to handle - Black Crowes would suit your voice.

Never heard you sing Mark, but if you've got the voice of Bon Scott go for it mate.

Rosalie and The cowgirl song are variations of the same song aren't they? and then the lemon song.

You've got nowt to lose mate go for it
