    Default peavey vs wharfedale

hi guys, having been a fan of class d speakers, I now have the chance to purchase a pair of peavey hisys 1rx speakers (used) or a pair of wharfedale LX15 (new), in your opinion or experience what would you advise? I would instantly think peavey but some website reviews have highly praised wharfedale. cheers

If you're interested in Wharfedale cabs then the MX112 and MX115 are great cabs. They're cheap too really, their sound quality is great for their price and the enclosures are very, very well built and overall the MX112 and MX115 cabs will last you years.

The Wharfedale MX112 and MX115 cabs sound great for their price and they're pretty loud too. Their build quality is excellent for a cab in their price, I heard them alongside the JBL MRX series cabs and the Wharfedales sounded just as good. Normally i've never liked Wharfedale's pa cabs because they've always sounded unimpressive really, especially the EVX and SVP series which to my ears are utter crap.

Peavey make good speakers, their UL series are pretty good for the money, although the Blac Widow drivers i'm not a great fan of, I mean they sound ok, but they've got a distinct lack of midrange clarity, wheras JBL's MRX515 cabs drivers have excellent midrange clarity considering they've got 15" low frequency drivers.

Done, sorry, when I registered earlier I was running around like a headless chicken cooking my fish fingers at the same time lol Done now though, said hello

    Andy,
How come you don't like Peavey? I've not heard the Peavey QW cabs but a few of my friends are professional sound guys and so they've heard a hell of a lot, and they've all said the same thing I keep hearing on forums, that the Peavey Q-Wave series sound excellent and say that they're as good as JBL's mighty SRX series which is really saying something.
