That Base is just down the road from me, and Ive done a few gigs there in the past, some good, some bad...........!!

I worked there a good few years back now, i'd say if it's for 800 you could well be in one the hangars.

Or knowing the RAF they'll have a massive marquee rigged up. :eek:

If I was requested to do a gig for 800, I'd turn it down flat, as I don't have the equipment to cater for anywhere NEAR that many, and wouldn't want the hassle of hiring / borrowing loads of extra stuff just for one gig.

If you priced it right Rob, you could always subcontract the PA hire side to a trusted company, and just turn up on the night with your music (or CD/mixer & music - lots of DJs like to use their own) and still make a great profit and have a fantastic night yourself.

We are always happy to offer very advantageous rates to MDD members for wet PA hire. Hopefully this post doesn't flaunt any forum rules regarding advertising:cool:

Thanks for all the advice guys much appreciated, not to worried about size of gig as 1000+ is quite normal for me i was more worried about acsess but it it is in the officers mess so cant be to bad,the rubbish bit is have to be set up by 1700 hrs dont play till midnight :eek: so a long day.

Dont worry Rob we are a hire company and can put out a 20k rig if required and have enough lighting to sink a battle ship, my thinking is i would rather do one gig for £1000 than four for £250 if you get my drift.

The gig was fine ,they had a great band from Newcastle Anna Reay Band ,i finished at 4am back home by 7am ,now wait for it my bloody roadies left a £2500 oodj on the stage after saying it was on the truck so had to do a 180 mile round trip next day to collect was not amused ,cant get the staff.:bang:
