Good luck.
You must try and relax and enjoy the experience!
Have a good show.... and try to relax.
Watch the audience... if they're enjoying themselves, you're doing fine.

Other than making sure you have the required kit with you, don't over-plan it! The gig will go where it wants to, no matter what you work out in advance. May I suggest you have a request taker with you, as it really takes the pressure off. Good luck. :)

Good Luck!
My advise would be, leave yourself plenty of time to get there, and get there earlier than you planned to set up, so you haven't got to rush when setting up.
There's nothing worse than rushing, then panicing because somethings not working, then frantically wondering whats wrong, when as Dave said, it'd be something so simple, like you probably haven't switched your amp on or something LoL

someone to take the requests from people while you are doing your thing as a dj.

Someone else taking the requests can be an absolute Godsend, as it leaves you free to press the buttons, and removes the hassle from the stream of twenty children all coming up to request " Grease " one after the other, while you are actually on the mic introducing the next track!
Just remember to keep calm and everything will fall into place. Dont forget to switch the amp on last, save your speakers.

I find it amazing that when people like a song they don't even know who it's by or what it's called, then try and sing it down your ear while there is a 400W speaker right next to me...

They're the easy ones.
Wait until you get some of the others.
"Have you got that song that goes ..........?"
While playing Marley "Got any reggae?"
"Have you got any good music?"
"Play some R&B, mate" What would you like? "You know, R&B"
Welcome to the Real world of the DJ.

"You know what would go well after this?"
"What?"
"The Monkees"
"Sorry I don't usually play 2 songs in a row by the same artist"
