Whats going on???

I came across this online. They are selling a class d pa package but there not say there class d speakers. From what i can see on the writing about the speakers they are calling them AudioPro.

Whats going on???

They aren't actually calling them Audio pro speakers, but an Audio pro
System, ie a system put together by Audio Pro. Splitting hairs I know, but semantics can be fun you know. I am sure that it is a Class-D system being re-sold by someone. Not even remotely dodgy in itself I reckon.

Are we saying this is selling Speakers by generic descriptions rather than brand names?

I must admit it might not be illegal but its decidely unsatisfactory if your buying----if your buying that way you really dont want to pay much in case they are rubbish, whats the refund policy?

Brand name inidicates certain known quality, good or bad.

How about nice handheld microphone, nice disco effect 100watt, good range of Pop CDs ( no titles) or nice Motor Car only done 20,000 miles:eek:

The mind boggles.

It's a PA System. That in itself is a perfectly acceptable description. Further branding is between buyer and seller, not all buyers will wish to know the make model and serial number of every piece of kit they wish to buy. In this case I don't think they are trying to hide the brand names, they just aren't publicising it. I know it's a subtle difference, but as I said before, I see no nefarious practice here. Have you considered two things:-
One is that it is advertised as a system put together by themselves, implying that they have used their expertise to create a suitable package. ( Removing the possibility of idiot punters buying badly matched items themselves, and making a horlicks of it !)

The other is that if they splash Class-D all over the advert, then maybe folk will realise they can buy direct, and save money.
