I'm (also) part of a local community radio station that's currently running an RSL (28day transmission) whilst trying to get a full-time FM license.
Today I pre-recorded and interview with Clive Donaldson - aka Wiggie from the Hitman & Her.
It was interesting, he's quite a character!
So who remembers The Hitman & Her then?
It was on when I was doing a lot of mobile work, club lighting and roadieing and was compulsary viewing. A few of us would gather at a mates house when we returned from our various gigs and sit down to watch The Hitman & Her (well, mainly Her) whilst eating crisps and drinking coke, great entertainment at 2am in the morning!

I DJ'd in Mr Smiths nightclub in Warrington where that program first kicked off and then regularly returned to.
Staff & contractors weren't allowed anywhere near the film crew or the "stars" and on nights when they were broadcasting (yes, it did go out live most nights) the production company brought in their own DJ.
Think I was only about 15 at the time... god I feel old now

I've heard of it, but don't think I ever watched it.
I was probably out in the clubs pulling at the time.

I used to watch it after coming in from working or clubbing.
I didn't like Michaela Strachen - I thought she was a sarcastic so and so.

The Hit Man and Her at Mr Smiths, 1988 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvDsvmoM8z8)
Brings back memories, LOL. I met "Clive" a few times when he was doing the PA circuit and came to a club I worked in....he once went to my brother's for a party after closing and didn't leave for 2 days...although he probably can't remember much about it ;)
I do remember him driving a beat up very old car, and getting regular calls from his mother

I certainly do remember it - 4am on a Sunday morning if my memory serves me correctly.
I used to sometimes worjk throughout the night and it usually followed a documentary about something as interesting as the eating habits of a mexican donkey  Those were the days when night time TV had just started !!

Your memory serves you correctly... but that would've been the repeat. Because night-time TV had just started it was a cheap way to fill a few hours. The programme usually went out "live" at about 12:30-02:00 then was repeated a couple of hours later

Sure is. Clive was saying it's due to reopen in March.
I do remember him driving a beat up very old car,
He now drives a medium sized Audi, probably 5~6 years old:confused:
I've edited the interview now, I'll see if I can post the audio clips on youtube over chrimbo so y'all can have a listen, if yer remotely interested that is!
