changing my lighting...

Hey all

i have now decided to upgrade my lighting system and i am starting to get fed up with my acme dynamos, i have the dynarock 250 which is good for what it is but i feel it time to upgrade...

here is what im thinking of getting if have any other ideas please say.

MARTIN MANIA SCX 500 x 2

MARTIN MANIA EFX 500 SCANNER x 1

and would use my 2 dynarocks if really needed or get 2 moonflowers to go either side of the efx 500..

so set up would look like this.

SCX MOON EFX MOON SCX

get a nice laser that would look good so scx efx laser efx scx there are some nice lasers around martin do a nice one

had another thought today of maybe in time will add another 2 scx 500s and have the efx central.

Basically, it will run your 4 scans and has very good programmes. You download the programmes from the Martin website, some are slow, some medium and some fast and then let them run.

Unfortunately, I was told that the controller would run the 4 scans and the EFX500, but it doesn't.

It runs the EFX600 and SCX600 scans but not the EFX500 and scans.

Not IMHO.

I use lasers a lot for kids parties, sure, but they also get used at weddings (usually in the 70's/80's disco classics set) and the middle-aged boppers appreciate them plus you get "ooh"'s and "aah"'s from older folk.

today i went to guildford sound and light i was informed that the 2510 controller does work on the efx 500 and scx 500 ,you can not link the efx 500 with the scx 500 with the controller only seperatly.

shame really as if had the 4 scx with the efx all linked would be nice show, not sure what to do now.
